What do Craigieburn businesses need from a website?
Craigieburn customers mostly find a business on their phone, often while comparing two or three options at once. Your website needs to say what you do and which suburbs you cover in the first screen, show real photos of your work, and make it effortless to ask for a quote or a booking.
Craigieburn has grown fast. Craigieburn Central, opened in November 2013, is now a town centre of more than 64,000 square metres, anchored by Coles, Woolworths, Aldi, Kmart, Big W and United Cinemas, with over 140 specialty stores, according to its owners. Around it are new estates full of households that search for everything from a plumber to a physio online. To them, a business with no website, or one that looks a decade old, can feel like a risk.
That is the gap we build for. A clear, fast site that matches the quality of your work is often the difference between being shortlisted and being scrolled past.
Which Craigieburn businesses do we design for?
Mostly trades and suppliers, retail and food businesses, health and allied health practices, and home-based services across Craigieburn, Mickleham, Roxburgh Park and Greenvale. Each needs a different first impression, but all of them need the phone-first quote or booking path to be obvious.
- Trades and suppliers: businesses working from the industrial precinct off the Hume Highway, where estates such as Amaroo Business Park and the Craigieburn Logistics Estate sit beside builders, fabricators and transport operators. They need service lists, licence details, job photos and a quote form.
- Retail and food: shops and eateries in and around Craigieburn Central and Craigieburn Plaza that need current hours, menus or product ranges and a reason to visit.
- Health and allied health: physios, dentists, beauty and wellbeing practices that need online booking, practitioner profiles and clear fees.
- Home-based businesses: owners who need to look established without publishing a home address. We show your service area instead.

How should a trades website work in Craigieburn?
A trades site should answer three questions in seconds: what you do, where you go, and how to get a quote. We put your core services and suburbs on the homepage, add a short quote form that asks for the job type, suburb and photos, and keep every page light enough to load on a job-site connection.
Trades customers also look for proof before they call. We lay out your licences and registrations, insurance, recent jobs and any warranties you genuinely offer, in plain language, so a homeowner or site manager can check them quickly. Your quote requests come straight to your inbox, and a monthly care plan keeps photos and services current as the business grows.
See the Draventhal Construction builder concept and the Mossgarth Landscapes concept for the kind of trades homepage we design. Both are fictional samples made to show the approach.
Can a Hume City Council grant help with a website?
Possibly, but it is the council’s decision, not ours. Hume City Council runs the Hume City Small Business Grant Program, which offers up to $20,000 (plus GST) per business from a $150,000 pool. Only businesses that have attended a Hume Small Business Grant Workshop can apply, and the program finishes when the pool is spent.
According to Hume City Council’s grants page, applicants must have been operating for at least two years (one year for a home-based business) and must supply quotes for every item in their project plan from suppliers with a registered ABN, not from family members. Whether a website can be part of your project plan is for the council to assess. Its Economic Development Team (business@hume.vic.gov.au) can tell you before you apply.
The separate Hume City Shopfront Improvement Grant Program, of up to $7,500 (plus GST), is for physical shopfront works such as signage, lighting and façades, not websites. If you are applying for either program, we can give you a written fixed-price quote showing our ABN, so your paperwork is ready.
